Golf Digest published its 2025-2026 rankings and David Zinkand projects made its mark in each of the three lists.
On the list of America’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses, Monterey Peninsula Golf Club ranked at 55, having previously been listed at 65. America’s Second 100 Greatest Golf Courses featured Old Elm Club which came in at 149 (up from 164). On the third ranked list titled The First 25 Out, released for the first time were courses that just missed making the Top 200. On that list was Desert Forest at 219. “Desert Forest was previously ranked for 36 years on our 100 Greatest list and more recently was ranked on our Second 100 Greatest list in 2013-’14 and 2017-’18.”
